【概念】

什么是部分倒装？

如果要突出、强调句中某成分（比如时间状语、比如宾语），就把它放在句首；

要突出、强调这个成分，还要有一个“标记词语”，一般就是三个：

如此（So……that……或such……that……）

只有（Only）

不（所有表示“否定”的词语）

句子剩下的部分呢？我们把它改成“一般疑问句”的顺序。也就是这样：

倒装标记词 + 突出强调的成分 +剩余句子的一般疑问句。

怎么记住三个倒装标记词：（注意都是大写哦）

So/Such，Only，否定词

【分类】

第一类：So/Such——如此……以至于……

So + 形容词或副词＋“一般疑问句”＋ that + 表示结果的句子

例如：这小孩太调皮，使得他那忙于工作的父母常常心烦意乱。(So …)

英译：So naughty is the kid that he always upsets his parents (who are) busy with work.

Such + （a/an）-形容词-名词 + “一般疑问句”＋ that + 表示结果的句子

例如：她的有关个人奋斗的演讲很真诚，让我们感动得几乎流泪。（Such…that…）

英译：Such a sincere speech did she deliver that we were almost moved to tears.

第二类：Only——只有……，……才……

Only + 被突出强调的成分＋“一般疑问句”

例如：只有当你理解领会了这种知识，才能记住它。( Only )

英译：Only when you understand this knowledge can you remember it.

第三类：否定词——几乎不、从未、不再……

否定词 + 被突出强调的成分＋“一般疑问句”

例如：他很少意识到与别人交流的重要性。（Seldom）

英译：Seldom does he realize the importance of communication with others.

例如：垃圾分类不仅有助于环境保护还有利于废物循环利用，所以人人要行动起来。（Not only)

英译：Not only does sorting rubbish help protect the environment, but also it helps recycle waste material, so everyone should take action.

【应用】

A类：按照中文的表达要求，改写译文：

1. We won't be able to beat the opponents unless we work together. 改成：

我们只有齐心协力, 才可能战胜对手。（Only）

【译文】

2. Due to the significant progress made in Chinese education,China has become one of the most favored places for overseas students. 改成：

中国教育取得如此巨大的进步，已成为最受海外学生欢迎的留学目的地之一。(Such)

【译文】

3. Too many data make it difficult for us to determine which one has caused the error.改成：

数据如此之多，会使我们很难判断错误是由哪个数据引起的。(So)

【译文】

4. It never occurred to him that the cultural and social aspects of protecting the water resource should also be taken into account. 改成：

他从没想到保护水资源的文化和社会因素也被列入考虑范围。（Never）

【译文】

A类：模拟实操

1. 我们的祖国从来没有像今天这样强大。(Never)

2. 自从出国留学后，她就不再和我们保持联系了。 (No longer)

3. 电脑技术正变得如此先进以至于它使电脑尺寸越来越小，速度越来越快。（So…）

4. 任何人仅凭背单词是不可能考出好成绩的，更不用说具有和老外交流的能力了。(Only)

5. 智能手机（smartphone）不仅让你了解世界上发生的事情，而且可以让你随时随地上网购物。(not only)

6. 只有相关各方更多地关注青少年，他们才能形成正确的价值观。（Only）

7. 她一看完那个关于已灭绝物种的电视节目，就立志加入野生动物保护组织。(No sooner)

【参考答案】

A类

1. We won't be able to beat the opponents unless we work together. 改成：

Only if we work together will we be able to beat the opponents.

2. Due to the significant progress made in Chinese education,China has become one of the most favored places for overseas students. 改成：

Such significant progress did China make in its education that China has become one of the most favored places for overseas students.

3. Too many data make it difficult for us to determine which one has caused the error.改成：

So many data are there that they make it difficult for us to determine which one has caused the error.

B类

1. Never has our country been so strong as it is today.
